Social Media Usage

         In order to gain a better understanding of my social media usage, I tracked my time using my most frequently used social apps on my phone. Typically, I was using these apps in the evening after work, cleaning, and showering. Some of the time I was using apps during these tasks to pass time.  

    The time at which I was using the apps was pretty consistent, during things like showers and right before bed. I don't have a lot of free time nor interest to sit and use social media for long periods of time.

    Most of time time I'm just reading, retweeting, or liking posts. I'm not one to comment on people's posts that often. On Facebook I'm pretty much only on there to check the marketplace for affordable decor and furniture. Generally speaking, my social media usage isn't much to write home about. I check social media often for work and networking. It helps me connect with other content creators and maintain my exposure and online presence when I cannot be streaming.

    My social media usage during the semester genuinely doesn't change that much, if anything I likely use social media more to distract myself from the monotony of some classes. Social media is also a fantastic procrastination tool when you can't bring yourself to do an assignment. I could say the same about a lot of things, though. I rather do my taxes than do homework sometimes.
