    Social media and social networking, two integral parts of our current society. Social media is essentially a way to display information and "media" of oneself or about oneself or topics you care about. Social networking can be better described as a tool to communicate with other people, whether they be new or established people in your life.

    I currently actively use LinkedIn, Twitter, and VRChat. I most frequently use Twitter and VRChat, LinkedIn is more of an afterthought for socialization. Twitter I mainly use as a way to consume information but do occasionally interact with people I consider friends. VRChat is one of the less understood and used forms of networking. I use VRChat while in Virtual Reality to visit, communicate, and hang out with friends. Personally, I think it's the future of socializing and networking. I've met tons of new people through it, created business relationships, and can hang out with all the people I care about safely from my home.

    My main social media VRChat has left me with numerous positive experiences. It allows me to interact with all sorts of new people. Everyone being presented as avatars also allows you to look past actual appearances and base people solely on your social interactions, reducing the amount of bias you can have with someone. I think it's a great way to deal with social anxiety while meeting new people.
